A retreat in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains

Eat. Move. Breathe. Connect.

In the fall of 2020, renowned Pilates teacher Rachael Lieck Bryce moved with her family to a 67-acre property outside Amherst, Virginia, and began cultivating the land. Her vision was to create a farm that could serve as a retreat for women from all over the world to nourish their bodies, hearts, and minds.

Taking her cue from Joseph Pilates and his return-to-life philosophy, Rachael designed an experience that invites guests to log off, slow down, catch their breath, and tap into their creativity and intuition. Her goal: to help you return to your life refreshed.

Additionally, as a teacher of teachers and with a rustic-elegant barn as her backdrop, Rachael continues to bring her considerable expertise and dedication to the classical Pilates method to people of all ages and all fitness levels both in person and virtually.

“Heirloom Springs is a reset for your mindset. We can get so disconnected from our food, our feelings, even our friends. So many retreats focus on one element — but we need the whole human experience. It’s impossible to say which part of the experience is the most beneficial. They all work together, reinforcing how you look at things, how you see nutrition from the outside in and how you relate to your body and to the people around you.”
